Every day prior to a donor using any NexSys PCS device, the deice must have the plasma weigher and AC weigher checked with a certified 1000g weight. 

Every PCS device used for a donation throughout the day must be cleaned prior to leaving. The items requiring to be cleaned are the DPM and external surface.

If a donor loses how much amount of blood will they be deferred and how long is the deferral?

A donor will be deferred for 56 days for any cell loss that is greater than or equal to 200mLs

If the donor experiences two cell losses less than 200mLs in a 56 day period the donor will be deferred for 56 days from the second loss.
