This mode allows you to select the type of scene that you're shooting in, and then the camera will change settings based off of the scene you choose.

This refers to the amount of time that the shutter is open.
What is shutter speed?
Photography that focuses on capturing the contrast between light and dark.
What is light and shadow photography?
This type of camera is one a photographer who works for National Geographic magazine should use to shoot a variety of scenes in excellent quality.
What is a DSLR?
This is where you plug a cable in to transfer images from the camera to a computer.
What is the USB port?
A person who is very knowledgeable about his or her camera, and who is an experienced photographer would probably shoot their photos in this mode.
What is manual mode?
The size of the opening in the lens when a pictures is taken.
Method of photography that breaks the composition up so that the focal point falls along the intersections of grid points.
What is the rule of thirds?
This type of camera is similar to a DSLR in regards to the number of features it has, but generally does not have interchangeable lenses.
What is a bridge camera?
This is the part of the camera that you can view to see how much battery life you have left.
What is the top LCD panel?
If you wanted to shoot a commercial for a school project, you would put the camera in this mode.
What is video mode?
The type of number the ISO should be set on when it is sunny outside.

This type of camera would be best suited for someone who needed to be able to carry the camera around easily, wanted some basic features (like a sports or portrait mode), and who didn't mind that the quality was only so-so.
