How does a camera "take a photo

The battery powers the camera(obviously).

When you press the shutter release button, the camera's mechanical and electrical systems activate. Light reflects off the subject and enters thru the lens, and forms and image on the sensor, then the shutter closes and is reset for the next image.

It is edge enhancement. It defines and separates edges.
