What is Flash?
A flash is an artificial light source that adds light to the ambient (existing) light.
It pops up from the camera and provides artificial light.

It is cutting out the part of a photo that is unnecessary or what you don't want in a photo.
What is Exposure?
The amount of light that reaches the electronic image sensor.
What does the detachable lens do?
It adjusts for different lighting and zooms/in.

What is Color Balance?
Setting used to make the colors and the image similar.
Ex. Making apples the right tone of red.
What is Shutter Speed?
It controls the length of time the shutter is open to let light into a camera.

The viewfinder is the "scope" of the camera.
When is it a good time to take photos?
Before lunch and around 2-4pm.
How do you turn on the flash?
Open Menu, set flash to on.

It stands for Automatic White Balance

It opens or closes to adjust the amount of light reaching the sensor

You can use sunscreen, a hat, close-toed shoes, water. For the camera you can use a lens/camera cover, a camera case, and a lens wipe.

ISO stands for International Standards Org. By changing the ISO setting, you control the relative sensitivity of the electronics in your camera to light.

How does a camera "take a photo
The battery powers the camera(obviously).
When you press the shutter release button, the camera's mechanical and electrical systems activate. Light reflects off the subject and enters thru the lens, and forms and image on the sensor, then the shutter closes and is reset for the next image.
What is Sharpening?
It is edge enhancement. It defines and separates edges.
