Layers
When clicked, this is the icon that makes a layer invisible.
What is the eye icon?
This tool allows the user to relocate objects in a layer by clicking and dragging.
What is the Move Tool?
This is the step you take before editing an object in a layer.
What is highlighting the layer in the layer's panel?
This is what you change to make an object in a layer look translucent.
What is Opacity?
It's the tool inside image>adjustments>hue saturation that allows you to control the color of an object.

Selects parts of an image.
What is the quick selection tool?
This is a second way to add an image to your design. The first way is to drag and drop an image into your design.
What is File>Place embedded?
This shortcut will allow you to resize any layer.
What is Ctrl + T?
When using the spot-healing tool, this adjustment determines how much of an area you can change at a time.
What is the brush size adjustment?
Clicking and dragging layers to the bottom of the stack in the layers menu will do this.
How do you make a layer's objects appear underneath all the other objects in a design?
This tool changes the color swatch to a chosen color inside an image.
What is the color picker tool?
I love to "pancake" my images and make them out of proportion. When a layer is selected, using Ctrl+T allows me to resize my image, but pressing this key and dragging a corner makes it easy to keep my images in proportion.
What is the Shift Key?
When opening Photoshop, you are given two choices, to "open" a file or "create new". This is what you choose if you want to work on an existing project, or make some simple edits to an image you just uploaded.
What is Open a file?
These are the image adjustments used when your photograph has very dark and very light areas and you want to even those out.
What are the brightness/contrast sliders?
The order of the layers in the design are found here, and the first layer represents the top layer in the design.
What is the Layer's Panel?
This tool will pull colors from stacked layers and create an affect similar to finger painting.
What is the Smudge Tool?
This is a way to isolate an image so you can make adjustments to that part of the image.
What is a selection?
Of the two choices given when you open Photoshop, this is what you would choose if you wanted to create a calendar, a collage, or a poster out of 12 images that you've recently uploaded.
What is "Create New"?
This contains the name of the image, and appears at the top of the workspace, right under the toolbar. You can have many of these open while you work.

This tool can change the size of an image by cutting parts of it off.

This is a shortcut to deselect a subject after the area is edited.
What is Ctrl D?
This technique is used to add objects to images by hiding the area around the object.
What is masking layers?
If you are working in Photoshop's workspace and suddenly, some of the tools disappear, or some of the panels are missing, you can do this to bring them back.
