Adjectives that describe the mood, feeling, or attitude the speaker has on the subject of the text
What is foreshadowing? What purpose does it serve?
Foreshadowing is hinting at what is to come in the text, it helps the reader predict events in the text.

What is an inference?
an assumption based on the text, it goes beyond the surface level understanding
Pretend you are comparing two texts. A question asks what is "absent" in one text. What dose "absent" mean?
What is an author's claim in the text?
The main idea or arguement the speaker is trying to make.
What are text structures? Give examples.
Text strucutres are devices that make up the text. Some examples are foreshadowing, flashbacks, parallel plots.

What is connotative language? How does it impact the text?
Connotative language is when emotions/feelings are attached to words. It often helps readers understanding the tone/meaning.
What is fallacious reasoning? How do you determine it?
Fallacious reasoning is when an author's claim does not have relevance (on topic) nor sufficient evidence (explanation).
