Moved a bill collections operation for Dayton Hudson Corp consolidated Daytons, Hudsons, Marshall Fields, Mervyns & Target credit cards (telephony and staffing) to a new state and integrated three different mainframe platforms into one user interface.

The project was an emergency safety project necessitated by the death of 3 teenage boys when they took a corner on an Amador County road too fast.  The road paralleled Highway 88 and the boys came down a 100 foot cliff onto the state highway. The project constructed a retaining wall and a guardrail to prevent future tragedies. It was a very complex project because the project had to be jointly shared by the County and CalTrans as well as meet aesthetic standards on a scenic highway and byway.

I led the SPS Microsoft Office 2013 Deployment. This project was to Pilot test & Deploy MS Office 2013 to SPS as a key component of Sutter’s system-wide initiative enabling easier and faster access to data and applications. This deployment also included an Adobe upgrade and an Outlook cloud mailbox migration.

The city was trying to develop a regionally significant roadway but this project would require land and cash donations among other requirements. My boss did want to give any one anything and he regularly rejected any and every request from landowners.

Led a project to transition Sutter Coast HB from West Bay Region to Sac Sierra Region. The transition involved changing routes (Secure Transport), negotiating new contracts, moving to standardized vendors, training Sac Sierra team on Coast nuances and vice versa, billing, follow up, cash posting, contact center, and moving to a standardized MS4. The transition schedule was 6 months.

Led a project develop the next generation of a video encoder chip (silicon) for a company in the Silicon Valley in 1997--before DVD players were saturating the market. Project was delivered a month late (due to lack of clarity regarding holiday schedule with overseas programmers) but under budget.

Led a project for Nelson Book and News Airport Tenant Improvements in which we built out a Book Store, a second location in the Southwest Terminal and a Travel Shop (three project simultaneously). In addition to project leadership I managed 15 subcontractors and completed the project on time and within budget ($2.1 Million).
