Identify yourself as a staff member, identify the student, and tell them you have to file a report. We strongly encourage them to get rid of the prohibited item immediately to avoid further reports.

You smell marijuana strongly coming from one room. You knock, the resident opens the door, and you see a bong behind them. The resident confirms there is marijuana in the room.

I do not know that information. Student staff report what is seen and heard, and have no knowledge or role in anything further. Students should be watching out for outreach from professional staff.
