What is the Rewrite Full Term Process? 

The first step to initiate the Rewrite Full Term is to flat cancel the policy. A cancellation transaction needs to be created by either Agents or Underwriting, with a reason of Policy not-taken. When this transaction is completed, the policyholder receives an ACR (Acknowledgement of Cancellation Request).

Once the policy is in a Canceled Flat status, the Agent must initiate the Rewrite Full Term transaction from the Actions menu or “Rewrite Full Term” button.
