Adding a Party
You must scroll to this section of the page to add a party to a file record.
What is the Party Info section?
This is the default value of the Service Status field on all Small Claims Court Garnishment File records.
What is Not Served?
This is the location of the File Status field in TMS.
What is the View/Update Record page?
This must be entered in the Quick Record Search field.
What is the exact TMS file number?
This is the first page you see when you log into TMS.
What is the TMS Home page or Dashboard?
This must be updated to ensure that payments and correspondence go directly to the creditor representative.
What are the mail to details?
This party is responsible for updating the Service Status field within a Small Claims Court Garnishment record.
What is Finance/enforcement Office staff?
You must click this button before you can make updates to a file record in TMS (not including creating a receipt).
What is Select the Update Record button?
This button can be selected if the wrong file record is chosen or another record is required.
What is the Go Back button?
This menu includes functions to manage the address book, which you ARE NOT to use at this time.
What is the Address Book menu?
This checkbox is selected when the party is a business name.
What is the company flag checkbox?
The creditor must provide this form/document to the Finance Office before any funds can be released from TMS.
What is Proof of service on the debtor or an Affidavit of Service?
Deleted, Terminated and Active are choices in which field in TMS?
What is the File Status?
This button should be selected to perform a completely new search.
What is the Clear button?
This happens if your TMS session is inactive for 20 minutes.
What is the session will expire? (You will get a warning after 14 minutes of inactivity.)
This party type is selected when adding a lawyer for the creditor.
What is creditor representative?
This service status must be selected when an order is made that does not require the creditor to file an Affidavit of Service.
What is Not Served due to stay of court order?
You MUST do this if instructed by the bankruptcy trustee to hold any funds received.
What is Remove the file's ability to distribute funds?
If the file number cannot be located by TMS during a Quick Record Search, this message will appear.
What is an error message?
This icon can be clicked to delete the party details that were just created before saving the file record.
What is the trash can icon?
The Service Status field is only applicable to these types of file record.
What are Small Claims Court Garnishment Records?
This field is optional but is HIGHLY recommended to add detailed notes to support a file status change or any other important information relating to the file.
What is the memo section?
This will be retained along with the last search criteria only during the current browser session.
