In the prophecies of Isa 33:20-22 and Zep 3:14-20, “our festivals“ or “the appointed feasts” indicate this.
The Feasts of the New Covenant.
The law and the commands are not different, but the same: The law is the commands, and the commands are this.
The Covenant.
This verse states, “And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”
Gen 2:16-17
This verse states, “But do not forget this one thing dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
2 Pet 3:8
The LORD will be with those who come to Zion, the city of God’s appointed feasts; He will teach them the truth of life according to the prophecy, “He will teach us His ways” written in this verse.
Micah 4:1-2, 6-8
The Ten Commandments are called ‘the law’ or ‘the words of the covenant’. In the New Testament they are called this.
The law of the letter.
When God put the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in Eden, He knew that Adam and Eve would eat from it. Father uses ‘this’ verse to explain this point.
Isa 46:10
This is the opening verse for the chapter.
Heb 4:3-6 > “…It still remains that some will enter that rest,…”
This verse states, “the sorrows for the appointed feasts I will remove from you”.
Zep 3:14-20
The Apostle Paul said that he was not under the old law but under the new covenant, that is, the law of Christ. Father used these verses to explain this point.
1 Cor 9:20-21 > “To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews…”
In the Garden of Eden, Eternal Life was not guaranteed but conditional. However, if sinners are redeemed through Jesus’ blood, eternal life is not conditional any longer, gut guaranteed. Father used ‘this’ verse to explain the point.
Rev 21:4
The Sabbath day or the Sabbath year shows that there will be ‘this’ after 6,000 years of human history.
The Sabbath of a thousand years.
This verse states, “They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it.”
Jer 50:4-5
Some may ask, “the Bible says that the law of the LORD is perfect, yet why is it said that the law is abolished?” Father gave this answer to the question.
Such a perfect, holy, righteous and good law cannot save us, so it is useless to us.
The Bible says that the law was established for ‘this’ reason.
So that the trespass might increase.
The Apostle John described “entering that rest” as this.
Reigning for a thousand years.
In this verse, God says, “I will gather the lame; I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief.”
Micah 4:6-8
Those who do not receive the New Covenant, those who are not under the grace given for free, will be judged by this.
The Old Covenant, The Ten Commandments.
This verse states, “My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I, too, am working.”
John 5:17
The Apostle Paul interpreted ‘that rest’, written in Heb 4:3-6 as this.
The eternal rest coming after 6,000 years of human history.
