§Racial segregation was still based on “separate but equal” policies

§In 1954 the Supreme Court agreed to hear Brown VS. the Board of Education of Topeka Kansas.

§The court rules that racial segregation of schools violated the Constitution, because segregated schools were, by nature unequal.
