What is a principle?
The three branches of government have ways to keep the others in check.
Each branch has certain, SPECIFIC powers over the other branches.
What is Checks and Balances?
This amendment states that the people have rights other than what is listed in the Constitution.
What is the 9th Amendment?
Congress cannot do anything other than what the Constitution says it can do. Rights not listed in the Constitution belong to the states and the people.
