How do staff authenticate a Library Card
Staff do not have access to customer PIN information and cannot authenticate accounts on behalf of customers....

Out of ink! where are the ink cartridge slots and how do you remove the old cartridge?
Ink cartridges are in the top front panel of the printer, you eject the old one using the display screen, then slide it out.
Customer printed off some pages that came out blank and are making a bit of a fuss over it.
As per TPL's instructions we do not refund for blank pages :)

A customer sends a print job but the pages came out blank!? What do you do?
Suggest sending via a different method. If they sent via the computer directly, try print.tpl.ca

You must specify the size of the area to be scanned (the printer cant detect the size as the paper is too big) you can also adjust the image settings to max contrast (this eliminates the grey background)
The printer won't print because of "an issue with tray __" how do you resolve this?
empty the paper from that tray and it should auto-select a different one
Someone makes a new card. They want to print, but the authentication isn't working. How are you supposed to handle this?

Customer wants 15 copies of this page, sending from their phone. No they can't open it on our computers.
From the print release menu, click the arrow on the right hand side of the job, you can increase the copies there (to an unnerving degree)
You've "previewed" a photocopy and it ALMOST looks right, but you need to change one setting before copying. How can you preview it again without having to start over?
There is a little button to the right hand side you can click to erase the preview, but keep your current settings.

well it used to be automatic, but TPL is at the FOREFRONT of technology, so now you have to do it manually.
Customer printed something that seemed okay in the print preview, but came out formatted incorrectly...
Have them save the file as a different type, e.g. Docx -> PDF or vice versa

Select the scan area to the size the items can all fit within, select the output paper as letter (or legal) the printer will automatically scale it down (the same works in reverse - small upscaled to full page)
A customer sent a print job, and released the print job, but the printer didn't actually print anything...?
Unplug the printers power and ethernet cables for 15 minutes. Check the customers print queue on the other MFD. If needed, ask the customer if its possible for them to send the print job again and release it from the other printer. refund the cost of the job.
