Wait until the teacher asks for questions and raise your hand.

What do we do first thing in the morning?
Get what you need out of your bookbag. Hang your bookbag on its hook outside of the classroom.
Enter the classroom quietly and have your homework folder open on your desk for Mrs. Roe to check.
Begin morning work!
How do we line up?
Quickly and quietly! If you are not quiet, you will be moved to the back of the line. If the class is not quiet, we will practice procedures until we get them right.
What do we do for a fire drill?
Quickly and quietly line up.
Go out fire exit.
Pay attention as Mrs. Roe calls roll to make sure everyone is with the class.
What do you do if you need to go to the bathroom?
Do not ask to go to the bathroom during whole group instruction.
During independent work, raise your hand and ask Mrs. Roe if you can go to the bathroom.
Where do I turn in finished work?
Your class's finished work basket.
What do we do if there is indoor recess?
Mrs. Roe will have different options to choose from at each indoor recess. We will play quietly, and of course, we'll have fun!
How do we walk in the hallway?
Quietly!
For every compliment we get in the hallway, every student earns a Dojo point!
Lose a Dojo point for bad hallway behavior.
What do you do if your pencil breaks?
Will I have a chance to complete unfinished work?
Yes! If you finish any work early throughout the week, you can use your free time to complete unfinished work. Every Friday we will have "Ketchup and Pickles."

What is the procedure for packing up for dismissal?
Do not get ready to go home until Mrs. Roe says it is time. Make sure that you have everything you need! Homework, take home folder, jackets, etc. Take turns packing up as Mrs. Roe instructs you to.
What do I do if I finish early?
Be productive! Grab a book and read, complete any unfinished work you have, do something from Mrs. Roe's list of options.
How do I turn in homework?
Every day, when you enter the classroom, have your homework folder open on your desk and Mrs. Roe will check it.
Who cleans the classroom?
Everyone! We must take pride in our classroom and keep it clean. Every week, someone will be assigned to a new classroom job. Some jobs will involve cleaning. If you don't have a job, your job is to help the cleaning crew!
What is the procedure for getting books from the library?
You can read your book quietly at the carpet or at your desk. You do not have to check out your book unless you take it out of my classroom.
How do I get work from days I missed?
Mrs. Roe will set aside make up work for you to do in the "absent" folders.
