What is our morning routine called?
It is called CHAMPS!

Why do we have lockdowns?
We have lockdowns because if there was a threat in the building, we need to know what to do to be safe.

What are our two main classroom jobs?
Lunch Count Helper: The lunch count person walks up to the filing cabinet where the students make their lunch choice and calls out the work numbers of students who have NOT made a lunch choice. After, you can fill out the lunch count form.
Mailbox Helper: Next, the mailbox helper will call out the students who have NOT put their folder and planner in their mailbox. Students who have not done that yet will put it in their folder and planner in their mailbox.

What do we do during a lockdown?
Go to your spot (see next slide)
Teacher will do a “sweep” in the hallway to make sure no students are in the hallway to bring into the classroom.
*If you’re in the bathroom, you need to leave and go to the nearest classroom.
Wait until someone releases you by opening the door. We do not get released over the loudspeaker!

If you get 1 tally, you get $100 and 10 minutes off your Fun Friday Time
If you get 2 tallies, you get $50 and 20 minutes of your Fun Friday Time
If you get 3 tallies, you do not get paid that week and you have no Fun Friday Time.

How do we sit during a lockdown?

Explain how we need to line up!
We stand in number order when lining up, but take turns who the line leader is.
For example, we line up 1-16 on the first day of school. The next day, #1 will go to the end of the line and #2 will be the line leader. After, #2 will go to the end and #3 will be the line leader! The teachers have the right to change the order at any time!

2. What do you do if you are out of the classroom during a lockdown?
1. During an emergency evacuation, you need to find the closest teacher and walk out of the building with them. They will let your teacher know you have exited the building!
2. During a lockdown, you need to find the closest teacher and go into their classroom! If you are in the bathroom, you need to get out and get to the closest teacher as soon as possible.

The agenda is our schedule for the day. The plan for the day can change because things happen! Sometimes we plan for something and we don't have enough time and that's okay!

What should you do if your pencil breaks during teaching time?
1. Go in your desk and see if you have a sharpened pencil.
2. If you don't, go to the extra classroom supply drawers and grab one!
You do not sharpen your pencils durng classtime!
