Answers will vary. You could see if the items float or sink in certain liquids. If it floats, it is less dense, and if it sinks, it is more dense.

You and your friends are at the park on a sunny day, and you are playing on the slide.  As you slide down, the hot slide burns your legs. Explain why this happened and why you didn’t burn your hands when you climbed up the rope ladder.

Answers will vary. The metal of the slide is heated by the Sun because metal is a good thermal (heat) conductor. Rope is an insulator, so the rope ladder did not hold the heat from the sun.
