A computational model made of artificial neurons suggested by Frank Rosenblatt with a very perceptive name
What is a perceptron?
A collection of texts used for linguistic research but also to develop statistical NLP systems
What is a corpus?
An Indo-European language spoken by more than a billion people as L1 or L2
What is English?
This is a version of logic which not only admits the values True and False but every degree of uncertainty in between
What is fuzzy logic?
An approach to symbolic AI which extends the WWW and draws on knowledge from many interconnected databases
What is the semantic web?
A linguist born in the 19th century who proposed that linguistic meaning is defined by two parts: signifiant and signifié
Who is Ferdinand de Saussure?
The first AI system to beat a world champion in a black-and-white game with kings and queens
What is Deep Blue?
A different term for lexico-syntactic class, like noun, verb, or adjective, that is often used in NLP/CL
