When you have an emotion, it is good to talk to someone about it. You want to let that emotion out, don’t keep it in where it can build up. That person can also help you with the emotion.

You can do a written journal where you write down about your thoughts and emotions, or an audio journal where you do a voice recording as you talk to yourself. This also helps get emotions out and to process emotions.

Exercise can help “burn off emotions”. Yoga can help you relax. Dance or cardio can help you be happy and feel tired in a good way. Boxing can help with anger.

Find a way to calm-down in the moment when you have a negative emotion.

Don’t let problems build up. If you have a problem with someone, find a way to talk about it or solve it.

Find a hobby to do which can relax you and let any negative emotions out.

How does gratitude make people feel happier?

One way that gratitude boosts happiness is through the social effect. Gratitude has a social benefit. When you feel grateful for someone, you are more likely to have a close and supportive relationship with that person; and when you feel like someone appreciates you, then you feel happier and closer towards them. Social relationships are very important for people; being close to others, socializing, and having good relationships helps us be happy.

Another way that gratitude boosts happiness is by helping us having a positive mindset. When we take time to appreciate something, we are thinking good thoughts and focusing on the positive in our life. Thinking positively is an important part of feeling like our life is good, and helping us feel happy.

A third way that gratitude can help boost happiness is through generosity. When we feel grateful for someone, we are more prone to show that person we appreciate them by being generous and doing a kind act for that person. Being generous and giving to others helps us be happy.
