Your client has a 12-year-old brother and a 16-year-old sister. Brother plays soccer at the park 2 blocks away. Normally, he walks home, but we just got hit by a thousand-year rainstorm, so practice is cancelled and mom needs to pick him up. She wants to leave you and client at the home with his sister because it'll take less than 10 minutes.
What's wrong here? What are some solutions?
WE CANNOT BE IN THE HOME WITHOUT AN ADULT PRESENT.
Mom needs to take kiddo (and maybe even you) for the pick up. Or you can wait at the home while she takes client. Or you can wait in your car until mom returns.

Mom and dad both have to work this weekend. You're already doing 25 hours a week with client, so you know how to manage behaviors. Parents offer you $200 to babysit kiddo on Saturday.
What's wrong here? What's the solution?
THIS IS A MULTIPLE RELATIONSHIP.
We cannot have two different relationships with clients/their families.
However, if parents find a sitter (over 18) you can offer to do make-up hours while client is with the babysitter. This helps with missing hours and can be an opportunity to generalize the skills with another person.

You're graduating this weekend (go you!). Your client's family knows about this. At your graduation, you see your client's family at the ceremony and you walk over to say hi. It turns out they came to see their neighbor's daughter graduate, but they brought you flowers since they knew you would be there.
What's the problem? What's the solution?
Running into your client's family in public isn't against policy.
However, approaching them is breaking HIPAA.
The flowers are iffy; we cannot accept gifts over $10. Is it a small bouquet that's under $10? that's okay. Is it a huge arrangement that clearly cost over $10? This is a problem.
