Why is Impromptu Speaking important?
It allows us to answer questions and engage with an audience without notes. A technique that is often required when giving interviews or answering questions from a panel of people.
What is persuasive speaking?
It can help us change the minds or feelings of others. Get people to understand our concerns and, perhaps, help us achieve our goals.
What is a submarine? A sandwich or a ship? Convince me.
Depends on the context:
A submarine is a type of sandwich that is typically served on a long roll with different types of meats and cheeses, but a submarine can also be a defense ship with a streamlined hull used during wartime and exploration missions.

What is audience relevance and why is it important?
Audience relevance lets the audience know why they should have an interest in a topic.

What is audience analysis?
Understanding the audience. Knowing how to talk to them to try and persuade them to your cause or idea. Ex: Knowing how to persuade a room full of coffee drinkers to start drinking tea. Know the audience, so you can address any counterarguments.

It is a type of appeal that uses emotion through sharing a story, joke, or personal experience.
Why are conclusions important?
They allow the audience to know you are finished speaking, etc..
Why is a recommendation important?
It lets the audience know you are finished speaking, but it also gives the audience a tip from your speech.

Why do people find impromptu speech difficult?
There is no real preparation, no notes, but we do have all of our knowledge in our mind.
What does Lagos involve?
It is a type of appeal that uses logic to appeal to the sense of reason.
Why is public speaking important?
It helps you get your thoughts, ideas, and messages delivered to your audience in an effective way, so you can get all the respect and support back that you deserve, etc...
What is intonation?
The rise and fall of our voice. (We don't want to sound like a robot)
Why don't we use opinions in our research for informative speaking?
We want to give the audience FACT-based information and NOT our opinion.
What is a memory bank?
Where we store information we know. Our memory bank helps us recall the facts we know, as well as helps us see what we know and what we may want to learn more about in the future.
What does it mean to "Call to Action?"
To get people to help you do what you have asked, etc..
