What is Cystic Fibrosis?
Pt SpO2 drops 87% after 3mins on recumbent bike and you notice peripheral edema in bilateral ankles. They report having a R heart cath yesterday. You suspect this pathology
What is Pulmonary HTN?
Pt presents w/ loud, biphasic wheeze, is in the tripod position and HR of 128. You suspect this is most likely occurring.
What is a Severe asthma attack?
This is often prescribed to a pt w/ emphysema or a SpO2 <88%
What is supplemental O2?
This technique is used to decrease recruitment of accessory muscles for breathing.
