What is October 23, 2026 through January 23, 2027?
An existing member reports a change that affects both their 2026 and 2027 applications. This is the application year the agent should begin with.
What is the 2026/current year application?
Beginning January 1, 2027, these three eligible noncitizen categories may potentially qualify for APTC or ConnectorCare when all other eligibility requirements are met.
What are Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR), Cuban and Haitian Entrant (CHE), and Compact of Free Association (COFA) migrant?
Unlike Healthcare.gov, Massachusetts operates this type of Marketplace, meaning Health Connector enrollments are separate from the Federally Facilitated Marketplace.
What is a state-based Marketplace?
A member asks, “My Preliminary Eligibility Notice says I qualify for financial help in 2027. Does that mean my final 2027 eligibility is guaranteed?” How should the agent respond?

Whether a member has a health plan or dental plan, their monthly payment is always due on this day of the month.
What is the 23rd?
When reviewing an existing member's application during Open Enrollment, this is the recommended starting point for reviewing their current information before making updates.
What is the Application Summary?
A lawfully present member does not fall into the LPR, CHE, or COFA categories. Under the 2027 rules, they may still be eligible for this option through the Health Connector.
What is purchasing Health Connector coverage at full cost?
True or False: A member needs a Qualifying Life Event to enroll in or change dental coverage outside of Open Enrollment.
What is False? A QLE is not required for dental coverage.
A household wants 2027 coverage, but different family members prefer different carriers or provider networks. This feature allows members of the same tax household to select different plans.
