Curfews are rules that set a time when minors must be home at night. Some people believe curfews help keep young people safe and encourage responsibility. Others think curfews can limit freedom or make it harder for teens to spend time with friends. Parents often use curfews to know where their children are, and many cities and schools have curfew policies. When minors follow curfews, they learn to be responsible and make good choices. In short, curfews are necessary because they help minors stay safe, learn responsibility, and avoid risky situations
