How does hail form?

To get a hailstorm, ground/surface air needs to be humid. The sun heats the air at the surface. The warm air rises up. The temperature of the air gets colder as you go up. Rain in a storm cloud can be carried upwards by winds and freezes.

There are particles of matter in the air. Water droplets/vapor cling to them and condense to form clouds. In the experiment, the solid surface was the inside of the bottle
