Read verbatim words you wrote down in advance, without allowing space for audience reactions or engagement and ensuring the audience will zone out.

You are asked to thoroughly document a process so that when future employees are onboarded they can review the deliverable and get up to speed on the process.
What is a written SOP?
Allows you to appropriately tailor the information needed - narrows down what information can be left out and what information absolutely must be included.
What is my audience's familiarity with this topic?
Lets the audience know how their time will be used, what topics and will be covered and overall what to expect from the presentation ahead.
What is the Agenda Slide?
Things you should avoid because people will stop listening to what you are saying and instead try and read all the words on the slide.
What are long blocks of uninterrupted text?
Not really think about it in advance and just sort of go based on vibes on the day.
What is "winging it"?
You are asked to create a compilation of resources that employees can refer to when they need assistance.
What is a web page? (Intranet, Google Site, etc)
Provides the outline of what will be covered in the presentation - the roadmap for how you will achieve the goal set by the purpose.

Keeps the audience updated on how the agenda is progressing and allows for smoother transition of subjects.

Things you can use that visually capture the information you are trying to convey.
What are graphics? (i.e. charts, graphs, diagrams, pictures)

What is not understanding the material?
You are asked to create a step by step reference guide that outlines the steps employees need to take in order to complete a highly complex process.
What is a how-to video?
Allows you to think through how best to engage with the audience and what questions you may need to ask them, decision you need to get from them.
What do I need from my audience? (i.e. input, decisions)
Properly concludes the presentation and includes things like a wrap up or summary of what was discussed, any next steps and/or action items that may be relevant to the audience and links to relevant resources.
What is the Close Out/Conclusion Slide?
For this reason presentations need to be created with high contrasting colors and accessible graphics.
What is 508 compliance?
Not realizing that during your presentation everyone is looking down, staring off into space or has turned off their camera.

You have a presentation with a really dull topic, this would be good way to encourage engagement.
