Why are the scientists so worried?
They are worried because they discovered a huge comet, heading to us, which is going to destroy the world but nobody would listen to them or give credit to what they say, neither the president nor the media.

Why don’t the journalists care about what the scientists say?
Maybe they don't believe them, they think they are overacting.. Or maybe they don't want to scare their viewers, they think that this topic isn't good for their audience figures.

Why the title "Don’t look up”?
Because the government (and some media) don't want the population to look at what is coming from the sky ( the comete).
That is a metaphor for the idea : don't get educated on some topics/ don't try to look for information by yourself , only believe what the mainstream media say.
