George is miserable. His apartment is hot, and his fan is broken. He doesn't have money to go to the movies. His mom asks him if he wants to go to the library with her. He doesn't feel like it, but he goes anyways.
They walk four blocks to the library. George is sweaty, and there is lots of noise on the street. But when they enter the library, the air is cool and it is quiet. It's like a different world! George gets a drink form the water fountain. The icy water slides down his throat and gives him goose bumps.
George sees a beanbag chair on the floor next to a stack of books. He sits down and starts reading. When his mother is ready to go, he can't believe that two hours have gone by! George wants to come back tomorrow. It was great being at the library!
George was bored at home with no ac and his mom offered for him to go to the library with her. he went out of boredom and ended up enjoying it.

Dogs and Cats are not supposed to like each other. At least that is what some people say. But non one told Mocha and Bella that they shouldn't like each other. In fact, they are best friends! Mocha is a 14- year old dog. Bella is a 7 year old cat. They live with the Gomez family. They have been together since Bella was a kitten.
As Mocha got older, he began losing his sight and his hearing. Now, he is blind and deaf. He cannot get around on his own. Bella has become his "seeing-eye cat!" Bella is always with Mocha. She walks with him and keeps him from bumping into things. She leads him to his food. They sleep together at night.
Mocha would be very lonely without Bella. Bella is a good friend. She does what she needs to do to help Mocha every day.
Dogs and cats are not usually friends and do no get along, but Mocha and Bella are the best-est of friends.
