Why are RAs strongly encouraged to take care of personal and academic needs before training?
Because training and opening responsibilities are all-day commitments from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

By actively engaging them in intentional interactions and dialogue

Report it to the Staff Member on Duty (SMOD).

Mediating and providing guidance while referring them to appropriate campus resources if necessary.

You must always keep the duty phone charged and on at all times.

What happens if the duty phone is not returned to the designated location at the end of the night?
You are still considered on duty and must respond to any calls until the phone is returned.

To strengthen relationships, improve teamwork, and enhance staff collaboration.
What is expected of an RA in terms of participation in required trainings and meetings?
You must fully participate in all staff training and development activities.
