How does exclusion of minority status hurt the community?

Asian Americans are not white and have never been treated as a white person. They do not get the benefits of being white and therefore are still a minority in America.

A Japanese man named Ozwa claimed to be white because of his skin color. A unanimous decision said that asians were not considered Caucasian or as "free whites".

Richer families are able to afford tutoring and practice books on the SAT's specific studying guidelines. Poorer families can not afford tutoring and on average their students perform lower.

Asians on average are doing very well economically. These statistics are based on Asians as a whole and not smaller sub groups that have lower income.

Biden is planing new laws that allow immigrants to become citizens if they stay in the US a certain amount of time. This especially helps young undocumented immigrants who came to America with their parents and want to continue living there.

Different groups of Asians have different experiences(and incomes). Asians have faced a complicated racist history in America as well as other minorities that has created barriers to entry.

The opportunity to create wealth is often based in Realestate. Neighborhoods are still segregated by race even though redlining is not openly practiced today.

Education now a days is the only way to get a high paying job. In America high skilled labor is needed and low skilled labor is paid the minimum wage.

Often being an immigrant creates many unfair barriers to entry for jobs in new countries.(Which is why their income in America is significantly less) The stigma held with immigrants also make it harder for them to get higher paying jobs. Undocumented immigrants often get underpaid and constantly fear for exposure.

Black people were systematically oppressed from slavery to current days. As slaves they could not hold property and pass wealth down. Neighborhoods are often segregated which leads to less academic opportunities for lower income students
