What is a Changeist?
The issue track about how people who are not straight or who do not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth face many issues in society. Race can also have an effect on how society treats people in this group. (Example: A black transgender person may be targeted more than a black cis person or a white transgender person)

The previous mayor of Stockton who started Universal Basic Income in the city and launched Stockton Scholars

The systematic fair treatment of people of all races that results in all people being able to achieve their full potential regardless of race, ethnicity, or the community they grew up in

A Stockton-based organization that provides services to low-income, minority, and marginalized communities. They taught us about immigration rights in a "Know Your Rights" workshop.

A group of Changeists that come together every week to learn more about an issue
What is an Issue Track Team?
The issue track about how things like pollution and too much trash have an impact on society. This is related to racial justice because solutions to this issue are prioritized more for high income neighborhoods than for low income neighborhoods, which are often populated mostly by people of color.
What is Environmental Justice?
The oldest university in the state, founded in 1851 in Santa Clara and moved to Stockton in 1923
What is University of the Pacific?
Recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. This is different than equality, which means that everyone is given the same resources regardless of whether they need them or not.
What is equity?
An organization that provides reproductive healthcare and education and advocated fro access to healthcare. They taught us about how access to reproductive healthcare is affected by race and other factors.

The issue track about the overall health of the community, access to healthcare, and disease prevention. This is related to racial justice because a large portion of people who have low or no access to healthcare are people of color.

The issue of kids in schools being punished in ways that are not constructive and instead put them on a path toward prison. This is related to racial justice because these punishments are often racially biased.
