OSRR

The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (OSRR) administers the California State University Standards for Student Conduct. This office ensures a fair and impartial administration of the disciplinary process while educating students about their responsibilities and protecting the rights of all members of the University community. The Office addresses student behavioral problems in a developmental and educational manner with the goal of fostering the ethical development and personal integrity of students.

Guardian Scholars- Serves incoming first-year, transfer, and continuing undergraduate and graduate students who have experienced foster care or similar circumstances. We are committed to helping students earn a degree by providing a community of support where students can succeed and thrive. 

Students with Dependents- Offers services, resources and supports to pregnant and parenting students in undergraduate, graduate, credential and post-baccalaureate programs. 

Off Campus Housing- Provides students and community stakeholders with connections and resources to improve student success as they live in the San Luis Obispo community. It is our goal to help students make an easy transition from on-campus to off-campus living while encouraging them to become engaged, positive members of the community.

The Medical Amnesty protocol can be used multiple times. 

Myth. 

The amnesty protocol promotes safety and responsibility throughout the university community. It sends a message that health and safety is a priority and students should feel safe doing the right thing. The protocol also provides a natural mechanism to educate students on the signs of alcohol poisoning. Education, paired with a Medical Amnesty protocol, has been shown to increase help seeking behavior. Research has shown that amnesty protocols increase appropriate medical attention and follow-up for at-risk students.
