It made her red with rage. Celina finally took a deep breath and slowly trudged into the grocery store. “Hey, Celina, what΄s wrong?” the owner of the store, Mrs. Jones, asked. "It's just so sad to see how nobody cares about our environment! Everyone just throws their trash everywhere!" said Celina with despair. "Come with me." said Mrs. Jones as she led Celina outside. Mrs. Jones picked up a wrapper and chip bag off the ground and threw it in the trash. "Mrs. Jones, it's going to take a lot more than two people to pick up all this trash. And what's the point anyway if people are just going to continue littering anyway?". Mrs. Jones smiled softly and said, "You're right. People will continue throwing their trash where it doesn't belong, but you and I won't." Celina looked at her confused. Mrs. Jones lightly put her hands on Celina's shoulders and told her, "Honey. We can be upset by this all day long, or we can set an example to others and continue to do what's right. We can't give up just because the task seems impossible. If we gave up, then things would get worse. It starts with you and me." Celina smiled and picked up a can from the ground and threw it in the trash.
