Yes. Though previously we were ensuring compliance before Enrollment, students may now enroll with our team - but they must be compliant in order to register for courses with Advising.

A student is frustrated because they sent in their transcripts, but their transfer credits are not showing in their portal. 

What do we check to determine what is happening with this student?

What could be the reason the student's credits are not showing?

Check OnBase "Document Retrieval" to ensure we have received the student's transcript. If yes, check to ensure transfer credit review has been sent to Academic Records. 

The students credits may not be showing because: 

Their transfer credit review is not yet complete

Their credits were not accepted for transfer 

(Short discussion involving transcripts not in OB - Unmatched/Contact Admissions)

You are unable to find a student's email in Snapshot. What else can you check?

Search by phone number, first / last name, or DOB (if info is available). You may also respond to the student and ask for clarifying information to locate account if necessary.

Per PA, a student will be approved, but it will be a "conditional acceptance". What does this mean for our students?

We do not have a 'conditionally accepted' status - this means the student is approved but if they are unsuccessful in their courses, they will be dismissed - we cannot guarantee they will be readmitted after dismissal.

A student is applying for the October term, but they will be away on military duties beginning on July 21st, until the second week of August. The student is asking if this will impact their Readmission.

What information can we provide them to help ensure this will not impact their process? 

Let them know they will need to submit their FAFSA as soon as possible so it may process while they are gone, or inform our team if they will be declining aid. 

Let the student know the Enrollment deadline (Sept. 13th), and that all steps must be completed by this date in order to move forward.

How would you respond to this student?  

Let the student know that the VN program is not offered at the Wichita campus - if they do not have a VN license, they could request transfer to the ADN 2 Year program.
