Ernie took up the whole backseat, so Genie was squished. To get back at him, Genie had thought about annoying his brother. Genie was upset that his brother knew about Grandpop's secret. Ernie went to the market with grandma - Genie asked about their trip (cared enough to ask). Genie was trying to make Ernie feel better about the accident. Brothers are getting along and have a better relationship by the end of the story.
