What is the first step of any receptive skill?
Set the scene/build interest to the the topic.
The detailed task is always about T/F or WH questions.

- Complete a chart/table from information in text.
- Match, e.g. person with holiday
- Find 3 differences between text & pics
- Reorder text in correct paragraphs

When can I have the PTV stage?
Before giving the gist task.
The pre-task includes skimming for general idea.

- Setting the scene.
- PTV
- Predict the topic form the pictures/headline.

1- After gist task.
