Who was Jim and what did he do?
Jim was a guy who came into contact with early AA. They told him of the hopless nature of alcoholism, and offered him a solution.
He was able to make a beginning, reassembled his family, and he proceeded to go about his life before ending back up in the asylum where he met with Bill to tell him the story of whiskey in his milk
(the persistence of this illusion is astonishing....all reasons for not drinking easily pushed aside.)
