What is a G2? (General, vague description)

1.) A conversation with a candidate to obtain useful and relevant information that helps aid in the successful future placement of that candidate

2.) A conversation to clarify the candidate's preferences for logistics of a position and to figure out their GSI

100

What does I.O.I stand for?

Internal Office Interview

In-Person Office Interview

100

What is a lockdown?

A conversation with the candidate to go over the position details one final time, to ensure the candidate understands the position and its requirements. It is also a chance for the candidate to ask questions one last time pertaining to the logistics of the position (shift, pay, location)

100

What is a lead?

Information about a company that we don't currently have reqs at

(Can be at a former client as well)

100

Why are service touchpoints important?

To ensure the candidate is in the right placement long-term, and they are happy in the position

And to get referrals!!!!

200

What are 3 things you can get out of a G2 from a candidate?

1.) Commute Preference

2.) GSI, long-term career plan

3.) Pay preferences

4.) Shift preferences

5.) Type of work environment preferred

6.) Schedule restrictions

7.) Skills and work experience

200

Prior to an IOI, what should already be in process or being worked on?

CrossChq and/or references

The IOI can be a back up to follow up on these if they have not been completed yet, offer assistance if need be

200

How many reqs do you go over in a lockdown?

ONE.

This conversation is to lock them down on a position before subbing them over to the AM/client. To verify they are committed and are on the same page with you as far as the position and next steps.

200

What are 3 pieces of information that makes a lead?

1.) Contact Name

2.) Contact Title (lead, supervisor, trainer, etc)

3.) Company Name

200

Why is performance feedback important?

Because we all know that "no news, is good news" is not always the case. We want to make sure the client is also satisfied with how the candidate is performing as well as how they are showing up ever day. (late, missing, sloppy, etc)
300

How long should a "good" G2 take?

Any time frame over 5 minutes, and under 25-30 minutes (always a gray area)

But you can have a good, thorough, and relevant G2 within 30 minutes max. (and 30 minutes can be high)

ANSWERS UNDER 5 MIN OR OVER 30 MIN ARE WRONG, but will always hear out a good rationale

300

When do you schedule an IOI?

As soon as you deem them a placeable candidate and would like to move forward with the screening process.

If you know their skill set is placeable and relevant, the next step is gaining commitment and follow through from them. How serious are they. Virtual IOIs can be an option if need be.

300

When and why should you do a lock down with a candidate?

Once the candidate has stated they are interested in a position (after screening has been completed)

Once the candidate is interested in a position, we do a lockdown to verify the commitment and urgency of the candidate.

300

What do you do with the lead information once you have it?

Put it in Connected under the Leads tab

Once in Connected, feel free to reach out to the AM/PL if you would like (recommended)

300

When do you log your first service touch point?

The day of/the day right after they start

First-day touch points are HUGE, and can usually save a lot of quick finishes

400

Outside of the normal information (pay rate, shift, commute, schedule, skillsets, work experience) what are 3 OTHER pieces of information that we can obtain from a G2?

1.) Referrals

2.) References

3.) Leads

4.) Market Information (layoffs, hiring companies, bad places to work, etc)

5.) Networking connections

400

When do you NOT need to bring someone in for an IOI?

1. Candidate recently (within 1-2 months) was IOI'd by an internal partner that we can reach out to and obtain the screening information we need

2. Candidate recently (within 1-2months) ended a position with us, hopefully a good/neutral finish, and is a redeploy

3. We have G2'd the candidate and deemed them not placeable or hirable in our current market state

400

What are the top 5 things to cover in a lockdown?

1.) Job Description

2.) Shift times and overtime requirements

3.) Pay

4.) Physicality requirements

5.) Commute

400

What is 40 x 5? (NO CALCULATORS)

200

if we have roughly 40 recruiters, and if in theory, we all got 5 g2's a day (25aweek/5days), that could be 200 lead potentials every day. Up to 1000 a week!

Obviously, not all the leads will be new leads, but there will be plenty of leads that will be!

400

What are 2 different ways you can perform a service touchpoint?

1.) Call them/Text them, be consistent in follow up

2.) Bring them lunch!

500

What is the overall purpose of a G2?

(HINT: Don't overthink it)

To determine if the candidate is placeable and/or hirable in our current market

DO WE WANT TO WORK WITH THEM? WILL THEY REPRESENT US WELL? NOT EVERY G2 MEANS A PLACEMENT

500

What is the overall purpose of an IOI?

(HINT: Don't overthink it)

To use as a screening tool for the candidate.

I.E. Do they follow through on commitments? Did they show up on time, or early, or late? Can they explain their skills and work experience clearly? What were they wearing? How did they present themselves in the interview? Did they smell like W**D? Were they checking their phone during the interview? Client testing can also be a reason

We liked them enough on the phone, but lets face it, we can all sound like rockstars over the phone if we want too; how did they show up? Did they match their urgency on the phone?

500

How long does a "good" lockdown take?

5-10 minutes, give or take (can go longer)

In theory, the position was presented to them prior and this conversation is to clarify they have a full understanding of the position. So it really doesn't have to be that long of a conversation, it's more of a thorough recap. If you are talking about more than one req in a lockdown, it is not a lockdown.

To clarify, this is the conversation you are having after you have spoken over a few reqs/opps, and emailed any specific req information for them to review. They have been screened as well (refs, IOI), and now you are just about ready to submit to the AM/client.

500

Why are leads important?

More Clients = More Reqs

More Reqs = More Starts

More Starts = More Money $$$$$$

500

What are 3 things you should get out of a candidate lunch?

1.) Are you enjoying the job?

2.) Referrals!!

3.) Client hiring/how's business?
