Hey, I used my debit card to bind this policy. 

Due to fraud, I had to close my bank account.

You guys cancelled my policy for an unacceptable risk! 

You guys also said I would receive a refund over 2 weeks ago!

How are you going to process me a refund to an expired bank account?!

• If the card is no longer valid or closed, GEICO is still required to attempt to put the refund back to the card.  There is no special handling by the agent for this. The customers bank will do one of the following:
  • Accept the refund and apply it to the new account.
  • Accept the refund and issue a refund check to the insured.
  • Reject the refund and kick it back to GEICO, if this happens, the insured will be mailed a refund check.

Hey, I wrote my policy to be effective 01/28/2026...

I got a job for 01/27/2026 but my policy won't be active yet...

Can I change my policy effective date for 01/27?

Or could I just have a COI showing the policy effective for 01/27/2026

Absolutely not! To change the effective date, we must rewrite the policy.

my brother is an ex-driver on the policy

I want to know if I can make him an owner on my policy,

how do I go about that? 

Verify if the new owner is a driver previously listed and is now the ‘first’ owner, if yes continue.

• If no, a Rewrite and UW Referral is needed.

He just has to pay His earned premium too right? 

Theres no- like- rewrite fee or anything like that.

• A Signed No Loss Letter will be required.

• The entire last bill/NOIC amount must be collected.

• Manager approval is required. 

If a policy has active state or federal filings and is cancelled for non-payment, RWOL can be reviewed within 10 days of cancellation date.
