What was the miracle of the Wedding in Cana? John 2:1-11

Jesus, his mother, and his disciples attend a wedding in the village of Cana. When the wine runs out at the feast, Jesus turns water into wine, thus demonstrating his divinity to his disciples.

Who was Moses? 

Moses was the child of Jochebed and Levite. He was born Jewish. Shortly after his birth, the Pharoh requested that all Jewish boys be killed. His mother feared he would be killed and placed him in a basket and then placed the basket in the bulrushes where it was discovered by the Pharoh daughter Bithiah. She retrieved the child out of the water and gave it the name Moses which means out of the water and raised him as an Egyptian Prince. When he grew up he lead the Jewish people out of Egypt and slavery with God's help.

Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem. The three wise men visited him as they followed the north star and they brought him gifts.

What was the miracle of The Healing of the Paralytic? Luke 5:17-26

Jesus returned to Capernaum and went to a house and was teaching when the crowd became so thick that four men who brought the paralytic to Jesus had to climb on the roof and make a hole so that the man could be lowered down to Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith He healed the man.

What is purgatory?

This is the name we give to the area in the middle between heaven and hell. It's a place where sinters go to expiate their sins before going to heaven. By praying for these souls we can ask God to forgive them of their sins and allow them into heaven.

What was the miracle of The Death of Lazarus? John 11

Lazarus and his two sisters, Mary and Martha, were dear friends of Jesus. When their brother fell ill, the sisters sent a messenger to Jesus to tell him Lazarus was sick. Instead of hurrying to see Lazarus, Jesus remained where he was for two more days. When Jesus finally arrived in Bethany, Lazarus had been dead and in his tomb for four days. Jesus ordered that the gravestone be rolled away, and then raised Lazarus from the dead.

How did Moses realize his mission? (Going to save the Hebrew community)

The sight of a bush on fire begins a remarkable account of God's revelation of Himself to Moses and -- through him -- to Israel. The burning bush episode in Exodus provides us with one of the clearest biblical descriptions of who God is. When Moses realized what the Lord, was calling him to do, he began to ask for some confirmations for himself and for the children of Israel. God tells him to go tell the pharaoh to let them free and to show him the signs( deceased hand and snake-stick)

What was the miracle of Sight for the Blind? John 9:1-12

Jesus and his disciples see a man who was born blind, Jesus tells his disciples that blindness was not punishment for sin but a way to see God's miracles. He gets mud and covers the blind man's eyes and then he tells them to wash it and the man is able to see.

Jesus asked God to forgive those who hurt him because they did not know what they were doing and he told God to forgive the other two men who were crucified with him.

What is Lent? What are we celebrating during this time?

Lent is a time when we reflect on the 40 days that Jesus was in the desert. This is a time for reflection. Lent starts on Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday is the last day of Lent. During this time we give up something of our choosing, some people fast and we don't eat meat on Fridays and Holy Days.

After an unsuccessful fishing trip, Jesus shows the disciples that they should have faith and tells them to lower the net and they then catch lots of fish.

Why did Moses go up the mountain? What happened in the Hebrew community while he was there? What did God give Moses? What did Moses do when he went back down? 

Moses went up to Mount Sinai for 40 days and he received the tablets with the 10 commandments. While he was there the community lost faith and began worshipping a golden calf. Moses got upset and broke the tablets. The community was punished for 40 years.

Jesus was resurrected on the third day after his crucifixion. On Easter Sunday he rose.

What is Passover? During this time what doe the celebration look like?

Passover is the name given to the night that the Angel of Death passed over the homes of the Jewish people. In preparation for the passing of the Angel of Death, the Jewish people put lambs' blood over their door post so that the Angel of Death would pass over their house and not kill their firstborn son as God willed it.
