While working on an RP file that is unreachable. After 3-3-2 is complete, which places would the CI update?

1) The RP/VCI will mark in the top notes/daily follow up notes that the Repeat Positive file was unreachable after a cycle of 3-3-2.

 2) The RP/VCI will then record this in the Excel document with the appropriate  “Unsuccessful/Unreachable”  Call Status and update the date. The unreachable file at this time will remain in the “Repeat Positive” bin until it expires.

400

When should the RP/VCI leave the reinfection question left blank?

unreachable, in the process of 3-3-2

Which Scenario A,B or C applies here. Initial test date- 01/01/21, case has been symptomatic till second test date of 04/19/21.

Scenario C (Repeat Positive: Outside of Timeline): The Repeat Positive is contacted and has a previous positive test that is OUTSIDE of the “90 day umbrella period”. Symptomatic/Asymptomatic status does not apply in this situation

500

Case has a test date of 01/19/21 and completed isolation on 01/29/21. Case has been asymptomatic from end of isolation till second test date of 04/20/21. Will this patient be a repeat positive or continuous positive? Which Scenario is this-A,B or C. Bonus points(200) for good explanation.

Repeat Positive- Scenario C (Outside of 90 days)

List any 4/8 call statuses used in the RP Excel file

A)Not yet called – This means you have assigned yourself the file and are in the pre-work stage.

B) In Progress – This means that you are in the middle of 3-3-2.

C) Verified – This means you have reached the case and verified whether they are a reinfection or not.

D) Unsuccessful/Unreachable - The case was unreachable after 3-3-2.

E) Unsuccessful/Refusal - The case refused the interview/repeat positive questions.

F) Unsuccessful/Medical Barriers – Reinfection status could not be verified due to hospitalization, residency in a nursing home or rehab, etc.

G) Unsuccessful/Deceased - the case is deceased.

H) File Expired

What is included in the RP daily count form?

Repeat Positive Workflow- List any 3 steps to take while working on a repeat positive file

 1. Assign yourself the first open file in your team's Excel sheet by adding your name to it.

 2) Search the file in the Repeat Positive Bin (using the green search button at the bottom).

3) Evaluate the file's lab results (using the "View/Record Lab Results" form)

4) Call the case using 3-3-2 protocol through the "Case Reactivation" form. Document in top notes.

5) Evaluate case to determine reinfection status. If not a reinfection, end your call and skip to step 9.

 6) For reinfections: complete a full CI interview.

7) For reinfections: find the new case file in All Cases and permanently assign to yourself. Fill in all case interview information. DO NOT TRY TO DE-DUPLICATE THE ORIGINAL FILE.

 8) For reinfections: Follow up and manage isolation as normal per CI Protocols. This includes all escalations, follow ups, end of isolation calls, etc.

 9) Update Excel document with most recent info on your case.

How would an RP/VCI select between the 3 scenarios A, B and C?

Scenario A (Continuous Positive): The Repeat Positive is contacted and has a second test that is within the “90 day umbrella period” AND was “Asymptomatic” from the last date of their infectious period to the present date when you are making the call. This will NOT become a new case.

Scenario B (Repeat Positive): The Repeat Positive is contacted and has a current, second test, that is within the “90 day umbrella period” and  “Symptomatic”.

Scenario C (Repeat Positive: Outside of Timeline): The Repeat Positive is contacted and has a previous positive test that is OUTSIDE of the “90 day umbrella period”. Symptomatic/Asymptomatic status does not apply in this situation.
