Present and Past simple
Lucas:"I live in New York."
Lucas said (that) he lived in New York.
Tiana: "I am working today."
Tiana/She said (that) she was working that day.
Uncle:"My son has studied Latin."
Uncle said (that) his son had studied Latin
Friend: "I must leave early this week"
My friend said (that) he/she had to leave early that week.
Cinthia:"I'll do the washing-up later."
Cinthia said she would do the washing-up later.
Mary: "We don't travel much."
Mary/She said (that) they didn't travel much.
Grandma: "She's eating dinner."
Grandma said (that) she was eating dinner.
Alanis: I haven't met Richard before
Alanis said she hadn't met Richard before.
Son: "I can help you tomorrow."
He said (that) he could help me the next day.
Peter: "They have never been to Scotland until last year."
Peter said (that) they had never been to Scotland until the previous year.
Silvia: "I came to London in 2004."
Silvia/She said (that) she had come to London in 2004.
They: We were listening to songs on Youtube.
They said they had been listening to songs on Youtube.
Anna: “You had done all the work.”
Anna said (that) I had done all the work.
Kenia: "You shouldn't go to bed late."
Kenia said (that) I shouldn't go to bed late.
Teacher: "Get out!"
*Use the verb tell, also take in mind that is talking to you
The teacher told me/us to get out.
Simon: "They didn't go to the cinema yesterday."
Simon/He said (that) they hadn't been to the cinema the day before/the previous day.
Lila:Were you staying at your sister’s house?
Lila/She asked if I had been staying at my sister’s house.
Martin: "Have they gone on holiday last summer?"
Martin asked if they had gone on holiday the previous summer.
Boss: "The project may start next week."
The boss said (that) the project may start the following week.
Sally said to me "Come here! I can't do it without your help."
Sally told me to come there, cause (connector) she couldn't do it without my help."
Dad: "Is the milk fresh?"
Dad asked me if the milk was fresh.
Tom said to me, “I was cooking delicious food for you.”
Tom told me that he had been cooking delicious food for me.
Diana said to them: "The train had left an hour ago"
Diana told them (that) the train had left an hour before.
Jen: Shall we phone to say we are going to be late?
Jen ask if we should phone to say we were going to be late.
He: "Can you give me a glass of water, please? I'm really thirsty, I haven't drunk anything since morning."
He asked if I could give him a glass of water, he explain he was really thirsty, cause (connector) he hadn't drunk anything since morning.
