What is the alcohol policy?
What is alcohol is permitted in residence hall rooms with closed doors. All hallways, common areas, and event spaces (such as ballroom or 9th floor of 25 Foster are dry areas).

What do you do with mail that is not addressed to a resident of your building?
What is check the roster of the other building and search the directory to ensure that it is not for a faculty/staff member. If neither of these generate results, you mark it RTS and bring it to Public Safety (with the plastic mail bin the other mail came in) for outgoing mail with USPS to take the next day. Return mail/packages for faculty/staff and non-residents to the Desk as well.

Explain the difference between large scale and small scale programming, and passive vs. active programs. Give examples of each.
What is large scale programs involve large groups of people (such as Finals Week dinners), while small-scale focuses more on individual groups (such as a floor program with only a section of residents). Active programs are events that students must physically attend (such as the Luau), while passive are ones that are put up for residents to receive (such as the Snowman Soup program).

As an RA, what is your role during a fire?
What is to get outside safely, check in with your residents, report any pertinent information via the duty phone to the ROC so that it can be relayed to the Fire Department and help manage the crowd.

If a student wants to have furniture removed from their rooms (an extra bed, a couch), what is the process?
What is tell them it's not allowed and send them to Rachel or Kari as necessary. All furniture that was in the room at check in should be there at check out in good condition

What is checking for safety hazards, work orders, fire extinguishers, propped doors. You can also take this time to check in on residents that you do not see frequently, establish connections with residents.
