What is a safe choice in this scenario: Someone tells you a rumor about a classmate and wants you to “spread it around and instigate a fight. A student hears a rumor that two classmates “ don’t like each other”. Another student try’ make it worse by saying “You should go talk to them and see what they say. “ They said something about you”. They keep repeating the ruor to create drama and make it seem like there is a conflict when there isn’t.
Responsible choice- Do not repeat the rumor. Tell the instigator that is not true. Tell an adult.
Why-Rumors can cause misunderstandings, instigating a conflict is unsafe. Telling an adult can stop the situation.
