The Promise of the Holy Spirit
Before Jesus ascended into heaven, he promised his disciples that he would send them another Helper – The Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17). The Holy Spirit would empower them to fulfill their mission on earth. Jesus told his disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them (Acts 1:8).
