What was the Stamp act? Define it in a few sentences. 

The stamp act was a tax imposed on the American colonists that required paying a tax on all printed goods. Paper, letters, pamphlets etc. Each paper would have a stamp with proof that a tax was payed.

To protest a tax on tea, hundreds of chests of tea were dumped into the Boston Harbor. This was a critical turning point in starting the Revolutionary war.
