This object in God’s right hand was sealed with seven seals
What is the scroll (or book)?
When the first seal was opened, a rider on a white horse appeared, holding this object.
What is a bow?
When the fifth seal was opened, John saw these souls crying out for justice.
Who are the martyrs under the altar?
John wept because no one was found worthy to open this.
What is the scroll (or book)?
The rider on the red horse was given this, symbolizing the taking of peace from the earth.
What is a great sword?
Each soul under the altar was given this piece of clothing and told to wait a little longer.
What is a white robe?
One of the elders told John to stop weeping because this figure, described as the "Lion of Judah," had triumphed.
Who is Jesus (the Lamb)?
The rider on the black horse carried this object, often linked with scarcity and famine.
What are a pair of scales?
When the sixth seal was opened, this astronomical body turned black like sackcloth.
What is the sun?
Although introduced as a Lion, John actually saw this animal "looking as if it had been slain."
What is the Lamb?
The pale horse’s rider was named this, with Hades following close behind.
Who is Death?
Along with the sun turning black, this celestial body turned blood-red.
What is the moon?
When the Lamb took the scroll, these beings and the twenty-four elders fell down in worship, each holding harps and golden bowls of incense.
Who are the four living creatures?
Authority was given to the four horsemen over this fraction of the earth, to kill by sword, famine, plague, and wild beasts.
What is one-fourth (a fourth of the earth)?
After the sixth seal, the kings, generals, and everyone else hid in caves, calling on the mountains to fall on them to hide from this.
What is the wrath of the Lamb (and the face of Him who sits on the throne)?
