CAD Fields
The easiest way to identify in CAD if an address is incorrect.
What is the LOC field will turn yellow OR the map will indicate an incorrect address (the arrow will point to a street if no exact building is found).
These are the 2 primary rivers in our jurisdiction.
What is Mckenzie River and Willamette River.
The cardinal directions that are used by call takers.
What is North, South, East, and West. Not used: NW, SW, SE, NE
This is the official name of the Mckenzie HWY.
What is HWY 126 E (use this name with OSP).

This is the city code that CAD would automatically populate if you were to input an address from Walton, Oregon.
What is WAN (this is the exception to the rule that all city codes are the first 3 letters of the city’s name).
(True or False) Ida calls into 911 to let us know her husband started having a heart attack on one of the boat landings on the river. We'd enter a 'river' location for the responders to go to.
What is false. Since he's not having a heart attack in the water, we would enter a 'land' location.
Edward lives at 12 4th Street which runs N/S. What side of the street does he live on?
What is West. Since there’s only 2 house numbers, the house is either in Eugene or Springfield. In Springfield, numbered streets end in the word STREET, and they run N/S.
These are the 4 divided highways in our area.
What is Beltline (HWY 569), Delta HWY, I-5, and I-105.
This is the order in which streets should be listed in the LOC field when entering an intersection.
What is the street the incident is on first, then the closest cross street.
When police (no FIRE/EMS) is needed for an emergency, what should be entered into the LOC field?
What is the street address/location of where the incident occurred which may or not be the same as where help needs to go.
Paul is calling from his home near Mckenzie HWY and frantically tells us that his daughter never came back from Mckenzie river. Is his address on a segmented portion of the river?
What is no. Since his address will be Mckenzie HWY, it will not be on a segmented portion of either river.
Frank lives in an alley running N/S, but he’s a little tipsy and can’t quite remember his address. Miraculously, he does know that the N street is 12th, the S street is 13th, the E street is Palm, and the W street is Trail. What street does he live on?
What is Palm Street.
From Mckenzie HWY to the Old Mckenzie HWY, the mileposts count up from this number to this number.
What is 55 to 76.
House numbering increases as you move in which cardinal directions on Main Street.
What is North and South.
Nora calls into 911 from her home (732 Plumtree St.) stating there’s an unusual amount of smoke in her neighborhood. However, she can’t identify where it originated from. What would you put in the LOC field?

Field next to LOC: nearest or actual mailing city
Unit Number/Apt. Number
BUSI: Business/Apartment Name/Park etc.
CALLER ADDR: Caller’s address depending on the type of call

William Baker calls into 911 to report a dance fight gone wrong in an alley by a restaurant that runs E/W.
