"I've got to be honest" Pamela's mother began, "Your friends are not good influences on you." Pamela rolled her eyes and put in her headphones. Recently Pamela's mom and sister, Mary, were trying to control who Pamela befriended. Sure, Pamela had gotten into a little trouble at school, but wasn't that normal for 15 year olds? And yes, maybe her friends made bad choices from time to time, but nobody is perfect. Well, except Mary. In her mom's eyes, Mary could do no wrong. Pamela wouldn't admit it, but she, too, thought Mary was perfect. When Pamela's friend, Cindy, decided that Pamela could no longer hang out with their their friends, it was Mary who sat with Pamela at lunch, so she wasn't alone. Cindy changed her mind and now Pamela can sit at her friends' lunch table again. Now that she was thinking about it, Pamela realized that Mary was always there for her, even when her friends weren't.
