Seven years of good harvest and then seven years of famine. Because of this dream, Joseph was able to lead people into storing food in the first seven years to provide for people in the seven years of famine.

Because he pretended he was Esau by putting animal hair on his arms and brought him his favorite meal. Isaac didn't know he was giving the blessing to the wrong son.
