A man came to the Prophet’s (PBUH) house asking for food and a place to stay. The Prophet (PBUH) did not have food or money in his house, but he didn’t want to send the man away hungry. Abu Talha, a companion, said he'd take the guest in. However he only had a small amount of food which wasn't enough for his family and the guest. How did Abu Talha trick the guest into thinking the whole family ate food when they didn't?
He dimmed the lights so the guest couldn't see that they weren't eating.
